Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is giving us something to look forward to in 2018

The first official trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has just been released, and frankly, we all definitely have something to look forward to in 2018. Exploding islands, big dinosaurs, bigger dinosaurs, and an insane rescue mission led by none other than former Men’s Health cover guy Chris Pratt? How could it not be epic?

As you can see, we weren’t kidding when we said “exploding islands”. And yes, it looks like Pratt’s Owen Grady is going to be reunited with his beloved velociraptors. The plot looks to be centered around a dinosaur rescue mission, in which Owen Grady is recruited to help bring the beasts off the island that formerly housed Jurassic World before, well, the island explodes. (Notice a theme here?)

Pratt is looking fit as ever in the trailer, and considering how much all-out sprinting he manages to do in the sub-3 minute trailer, for good reason. Wonder how many more pro athletes will be calling up Pratt’s nutritionist now. (Here are some of Pratt’s training secrets.)

Even better, Jeff Goldblum’s Ian Malcolm is even going to be making a cameo, consisting of him, of course, making a few statements that leave us all wondering if he loves or hates the prehistoric reptiles. Based on his extensive (and nearly fatal) history with Jurassic Park, we’re going to go with a hearty dose of both.
