Ronda Rousey Really Might Be Headed to the WWE
Two anonymous sources report that Rousey is “finalizing the details” of a move to professional wrestling
It sounds like future WWE rings may be playing host to a new, but oh-so-familiar face. Ronda Rousey is reportedly finalizing her move into to World Wrestling Entertainment, as sources “close to Rousey” recently told USA Today.
The former UFC bantamweight champion has been pretty quiet about her upcoming career moves ever since she was beaten by Amanda Nunes in less than a minute at UFC 207 nearly a year ago. But rumors have been swirling for months about Rousey hopping into the WWE ring, and it’s looking like those rumors are finally about to materialize.
According to the USA Today article, two sources reportedly close to Rousey said that she’s “finalizing details of her move to WWE.” The sources requested to remain anonymous, considering the announcement hasn’t been made official just yet.
To further confirm that Rousey is looking towards WWE is the fact that she’s made absolutely no move indicating a return to UFC— something made even more clear by UFC president Dana White’s recent comments on a potential Rousey return to the octagon. “I wouldn’t want to see it,” White said on a Rousey UFC return, according to MMA Junkie. “I wouldn’t want it to happen. I care about her. She has got money … and all that stuff. I don’t want to see it happen.”

To fuel the flames even further, Rousey was at a WWE event last September in which she got in a stare-down with WWE wrestler Charlotte Flair, in which Rousey challenged, “You name the time, you name the place.” Our question is, will Rousey make The Rock’s list of people he’d like to wrestle in the ring?
